On a general survey conducted by SANT'E SOIN among public & employees of various MNC’s, it was observed that the frequency of Oral check up/Consultation was once in 3- 5 years as opposed to the required regular check up every 6 months. From the survey, DBI extrapolated that their present insurance policies do not include coverage for "GENERAL DENTAL TREATMENT".

Owing to the high cost of dental procedures, such policies would not be beneficial to the Multi National & Corporate employee. Besides cost, fear of the dental procedures, inconvenient timings for appointment, unhygienic clinical set up are a few other factors that keep the common people away from periodic checkups especially those working in corporate firms. This in turn leads one to probably spend more money than what he would have at condition's onset.

Understanding the various drawbacks of the existing scenario of dental practice including lack of basic clinical hygiene, lack of proper communication about that existing condition which requires treatment, inadequate & improperly maintained patient records, inadequate attention to patient's concerns, fears and queries, hiked and varying charges across different clinics, poor infrastructure facility, unprofessional way of handling patients, lack of clinically oriented staff, improper clinical know-how, to name a few, DBI’s mission is to overcome most, if not all of these while providing quality treatment to its patients/clients.

Whenever a dental check-up is discussed, the first things that come to mind, are the "cost" and the "pain" involved. Regular visits to the dentist for a routine check-up will ensure that problems are curbed in their initial stages and will in turn cut the cost of subsequent visits. Most of the expenses we incur are caused by our own ignorance & procrastination. Also with the latest advancements, dental treatment has become virtually painless!!!
